Over the course of 2020, COVID-19 fundamentally changed the way we live, work and interact with each other. We are all still adjusting to a variety of protection measures including face masks and travel restrictions to keep the most vulnerable in our society safe.

As we embrace remote connectivity, on-line events, digital health solutions including privacy-protecting contact tracing apps, e-commerce and a more automated society, Martel is working harder than ever to make sure we harness the digital transformation to fight and learn to live with COVID-19.

In this hub, you can find funding and support with a plethora of initiatives from funding opportunities to hackathons and tools; you can have a look at the results of our COVID-19 survey we conducted during the lockdown to understand how the virus impacted the work of EC-projects; and you can see how we are harnessing digital technologies for remote and agile working – at the forefront of innovation.

During the lockdown, we curated a list of open calls, funding opportunities, useful tools, collaborative actions and many more initiatives to help fight the Coronavirus situation.

We want to better understand the constraints we are all under and to define effective working practices to maintain a high quality of delivery to ongoing projects funded by the European Commission.

Containment measures have led to the cancellation of major global events, millions of employees the world over working remotely and school and university students switching to digital learning.
