Martel announces the opening of a new office in the Netherlands

Martel Innovate lands in the Netherlands. With more than 25 years of experience in ICT research and innovation, the dynamic Swiss-born digital innovation agency announces the opening of a new office, which will grow and strengthen Martel’s business position and outreach.

After more than one hundred cutting-edge projects, Martel has grown from its origins as a small consulting company into a thriving organisation with offices in Zurich and Lugano in Switzerland, and now in Amsterdam, with the opening of a new office in the Netherlands.

Opening a subsidiary of Martel in one of the European Member States has been a strategic move that was planned for a while, but that became a necessity in late Spring 2021 when the Swiss Confederation pulled out of the negotiations with the European Commission about the multi-lateral agreements between the two parties. To avoid the risk of discontinuity within the context of several ongoing EC-funded projects, we decided it was time for our European dream to come true!

To have an EU-based subsidiary means for us to be able to participate in Horizon Europe and Digital Europe Programme more easily, but also to more closely align on needs and requirements of our customers” said Dr Monique Calisti CEO of Martel and now Director of the Dutch subsidiary. “For many years, we’ve been working with Dutch research and innovation organisations. We have built important trust connections that are key to starting our new European venture and helping it grow. Moreover, the Netherlands offers an amazingly vibrant research and innovation ecosystem, especially in the digital domain. Now Martel announces the opening of a new office in the Netherlands. This is why we have chosen Amsterdam to become the basis of our EU subsidiary.”

With new employees being onboarded via Martel Innovate BV, we expect to grow our team force and differentiate our offering, providing new business development services to help innovative organizations access the market more effectively. All this by continuing offering support and guidance spanning from securing EC funds and providing expertise in selected ICT domains, such as Cloud, Edge Computing, Internet of Things, Artificial Intelligence, to turn the best ideas and plans into successful projects and results.
