Martel has supported CIBM the Center for Biomedical Imaging publication of the CIBM’s Annual Report 2020Martel has supported CIBM the Center for Biomedical Imaging publication of the CIBM’s Annual Report 2020 which highlights the center’s activities over the course of the year as a center of excellence in biomedical imaging in the Lemanic region and worldwide.

Martel conceptualised and designed the Annual Report and provided editorial services to encapsulate the research, teaching and services conducted throughout the year by CIBM. The document also provides an overview of the CIBM’s Strategic Roadmap 2020-2024 and outlines the objectives to improve CIBM’s position as a global leader in technologies focused around Electroencephalography (EEG), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Signal Processing (SP) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) for the advancement of science, health, medicine and technology.

Continuous collaboration between Martel and CIBM as a center of excellence

The CIBM Annual Report 2020 summarises the main activities of CIBM. With an annual budget of CHF 4.5M, CIBM enabled 60 new research projects to commence in 2020, the continuation of 106 ongoing collaborative research projects, and support to more than 80 research groups in the CIBM community. Reflecting the evolution and leadership growth of the center since its founding in 2004, we established a new organizational structure which is outlined in this report. CIBM is now positioned to leverage innovative research, disseminate knowledge and provide expertise with the latest high-end infrastructure.” said Dr. Pina Marziliano, CIBM’s Executive Director.

The report is proof that Martel supports CIBM as a global center of excellence and is the latest result in the continuous collaboration between Martel and CIBM. Martel has worked hand in hand with the CIBM leadership team along its journey as a Swiss Research Centre of Excellence in biomedical imaging. Starting from the redefinition of the CIBM brand identity and its deployment across online and offline communication channels, Martel supports CIBM to be recognized as a global leader in biomedical imaging. The calling card of any organization – the logo – was the starting point for the re-branding exercise. The revised logo reflects the dynamic partnership within CIBM’s founding partner institutions – Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, the Université de Lausanne, Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne, Université de Genève, the Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève – and the precision and excellence of the work that they perform. Martel’s web design team also brought a modern feel to the CIBM’s website, reflecting the technological innovations that CIBM incorporates. Thanks to Martel, the excellent work being done by all the partners is now in clear focus.

Martel supports CIBM as a global center of excellence. Over the years, Martel has ensured the re-branding exercise remained true to the nature of an organization which has performed groundbreaking work over the last decade and a half and to position this Swiss scientific network as a global player for the years ahead, to stimulate new collaborations that benefit medical science. Furthermore, our web design team has developed the center’s website in close collaboration with our editorial team, which curates its updates, the center’s newsletter, and its latest Annual Report. It also supports CIBM internal communication activities and engages the scientific team in the dissemination of their results and achievements. Moreover, Martel Media assisted CIBM in the organization of the event aimed at celebrating their 15th anniversary, with over 250 participants, at the Rolex Learning Center on the EPFL campus in Lausanne in 2019. We are really happy to have had the opportunity to support our partner to unlock their full potential and place them on the best path for success in the new digital landscape.” said Dr. Monique Calisti, CEO of Martel Innovate.
