Martel announces a new organisational structure to strengthen its business and service offering

Martel introduces a new organisational structure to strength its position in the international innovation scene. The new organisational structure will diversify Martel’s services portfolio, while consolidating its traditional core business.

Background and future directions

Martel’s business profile evolved in the last few years from a consulting company specialised in the management and coordination of international R&D&I projects into a larger team offering also dissemination, communication and exploitation-focused services. This contributed to consolidate and diversify our offering so as to empower our customers and partners.

In the last few months Martel was very successful in business acquisition work and planned for growth in the company’s services and activities. Accordingly, Martel’s Executive Directors Martin Potts and Dr. Monique Calisti decided to enlarge their team and incorporate a new organisational structure.

“To stay competitive in the increasingly challenging ICT innovation landscape” says Dr. Calisti “we need to give a strong impulse to Martel’s activities by complementing and strengthening our business via targeted Research and Development activities. A stronger technical profile is key not only to offer new R&D-focused expertise and services to our partners and customers, but also to better understand the evolution of the market and more effectively evolve our management and communication services portfolio.”

In this perspective, Martel created a new organisational structure, as displayed in the picture below. The structure will become operational as of beginning 2016, when Dr. Federico M. Facca will join as Head of Martel Lab.
